Welcome

DejaiSoft is a small development team who produce open and free software applications for use in the public domain. We believe in the maintaining of users freedoms when it comes to software. All the software you will find on this website will be licensed under a very liberating open source or free software license. Our development projects have nothing to hide, our progress is open to public viewing and anyone with skills in a certain area is welcome to join one of the numerous projects. If you don't have skills and you would like to learn feel free to join up to our elearn center where the community can contribute to our open knowledge database.

You can find more information about myself, "Dejai" under the contacts tab. The contacts tab acts as my personal homepage and way of communicating with the world. The contacts tab also includes my portfolio and information about what projects I have been involved in as well as download links and archives of older projects. The layout of the contacts page is very simple and should be supported by almost all browsers. It will also feature tutorials that answer very specific questions that I have had practical experience with. Feel free to check that out if your looking for a very specific problem.

DejaiSoft believes there are four essential freedoms for software programs, this does not imply that all our software is licensed under freedom software, yet our software license agreements generally apply to the following four rules:
Quoted from www.gnu.org , "

  • The freedom to run the program, for any purpose (freedom 0).
  • The freedom to study how the program works, and adapt it to your needs
(freedom 1). Access to the source code is a precondition for this.
  • The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbor
    (freedom 2).
  • The freedom to improve the program, and release your improvements
to the public, so that the whole community benefits
(freedom 3). Access to the source code is a precondition for this.

"

It is important that the users are empowered by the use of DejaiSoft software. If the user does not have control over the way that they run their software, the way they use it, why should it be distributed in the first place? If we are to put restrictions on software we are damaging the community that DejaiSoft has created. It is therefore our desire to stand up for your freedoms and use copyleft to protect the rights of our community.

(Note: This is not a war on proprietary software, it is just a way to support the DejaiSoft community and any other open or free software communities).
